Outsmarting Brain Tumors: A Conference on Brain Tumors for Patients, Families and Caregivers - June 23, 2012 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA

The multi-disciplinary faculty of the Department of Neurosurgery offers this comprehensive, one-day conference to bring participants up to date on the most recent advances and treatment of adult brain tumors. The conference seeks to educate patients and their caregivers on the latest treatments and therapeutic discoveries for brain tumors as well as provide information about the aspects of living with the disease such as nutrition and exercise, navigating social services, support groups, end of life care and various other issues.

In addition, the Department of Neurosurgery will be offering a Consultants' Corner for an Educational Scan Review. The review is designed to give a basic overview of your imaging studies as well as offer information and resources on the most appropriate and/or advanced care available for brain tumors. This is offered on a first come, first served basis, please sign up at check-in. Please also bring your scans and medical documentation for review.

Advances in Neurology and Neurosurgery Community Conference - July 14, 2012 at The Bakersfield Marriott in Bakersfield, CA

The multidisciplinary faculty of Cedars-Sinai offers this comprehensive, half-day conference to bring participants up to date with the most recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, particular brain tumors, stroke, movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and epilepsy and spinal disorders. Participants will also be provided information about the selection of their healthcare team as well as nutritional information.
