UCLA 7th Annual Brain Tumor Conference

What:   UCLA 7th Annual Brain Tumor Conference
Join brain tumor survivors, family members, friends and healthcare
professionals at the Seventh Annual Brain Tumor Conference, hosted by
the UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program. This annual conference provides ongoing
support and advocacy for the general education of the population we
serve. Our goal is to educate the community about this disease and give
them the opportunity to hear leading healthcare professionals speak
about the latest treatments, how to manage related symptoms, and also
learn about the many community resources available to them. (Please
note, CME credits will not be offered.)

When: March 23-24, 2007 from 8am to 4pm
Where: UCLA Tom Bradley Center - International Hall
         417 Charles E. Young Drive West
         Los Angeles, CA 90095

Cost: FREE

Topics to be covered at event:
Friday, March 23, 2007 - General Sessions will cover topics such as:
        An Overview of Brain Tumors
        Neurosurgery Techniques
        Radiation Therapy
        Chemotherapy and Biological Agents
        Experimental Therapies

Saturday, March 24, 2007 - Breakout Sessions will cover the following
        Individual Brain Tumor Types (GBM/AA, Low Grade and
Oligodendroglioma Tumors, Meningiomas, Brain Metastasis, Rare Tumors)
        Symptom Management
        Brain Tumors & Cognitive Abilities, Depression and Fatigue
        Seizure Management
        Speech and Language Difficulties
        Legal Issues
        Understanding Clinical Trials
        Support for the Caregiver
        Integrating Psycho-Social Support Into the Treatment Plan
        End of Life Issues

registration deadline is 3/19/07. Mail-in registrations should be
