The Brad Kaminsky Foundation for Brain Tumor Research Brings its Fourth Annual Heroes of Hope Silent Auction “on-line”

March 27, 2005 — Ashburn, VA — The Brad Kaminsky Foundation for Brain Tumor Research, a not for profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for brain tumor research, will host its Fourth Annual Heroes of Hope Golf Tournament and Silent Auction at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA on Saturday, April 16th, 2005.

For the first time, people who can not attend the event, can still bid on line for the Silent Auction items, which will feature Duke Blue Devils and Penn State Autographed items, Golf Memorabilia, weekend stay at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach,FL, hotel rooms in Pittsburgh, Maryland and Virginia, gift cards to Outback Steakhouse, Sharper Image and much more!! Items are being updated on a weekly basis, so keep checking for additional items. Many of the items offer great buys for a great cause.

Bid on line at All proceeds of the silent auction go directly to fund research for a cure for brain tumors. Please pass on the website to all of your on line colleagues. Last years entire event raised over $27,000 for brain tumor research and was donated to the Brain Tumor Center at Duke strictly for research. The Kaminsky Foundation has donated over $100,000 to date to Duke's Brain Tumor Center, University of Pennsylvania's Department of Neurology, Johns Hopkins for Brain Tumor Research, The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and more.

The Brad Kaminsky Foundation for Brain Tumor Research was started in 2000 when Ashburn, VA resident, Lisa Millar’s brother, Brad Kaminsky, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor. Brad was a young father and assistant district attorney and passed away in 2001 at the age of 29. Millar, along with many “warriors” affected by brain tumors, has vowed to continue the fight in honor of those still battling and in memory of those who can no longer fight.
