Family Weekend

Plan to join the ABTA at their 6th biennial Sharing Hope Family Weekend on July 18-20, 2003 at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, 25 minutes from Chicago=s O=Hare International Airport. This year, they will be planning a special weekend of neuro-oncology expertise presented in a rejuvenating, nurturing environment. Bring your family and enjoy the beautifully tranquil atmosphere environment at the resort.

In addition to participating in our highly-regarded Mini-Medical School, you will meet long term survivors, learn about specific tumors, interact with renowned physicians and researchers from the US and Canada, socialize and be part of ABTA=s 30th Anniversary. A sampling of speakers includes: Mitchel Berger, MD, University of California San Francisco; Peter Burger, MD, the Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore; Stewart Goldman, MD, Children=s Memorial Hospital, Chicago; Victor Levin, MD, UTMD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston; Roger Packer, MD, Children=s National Medical Center, Washington, D.C.; Nicholas Vick, MD, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, Illinois; W.K. Alfred Yung, MD, UTMD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston.

A special room rate of $109 + tax per night for up to four people in a room, with free parking, allows families to plan a summer get-away in this relaxing setting. A children=s program and a pre-teen program will be available.
