VSM MedTech Ltd. Announces MEG Distribution Strategy For Asian Market; International Acceptance Of Brain Imaging Technology Grows

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--In response to growing demand for MEG technology in the Asian marketplace, CTF Systems Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of VSM MedTech Ltd., has negotiated exclusive distribution agreements for representation in China and Taiwan. In addition, the Company has entered into a new business relationship with a major medical products distributor in Japan, the most developed MEG market in the world. Development of these business opportunities were led by CTF President, Dr. Max Burbank and Mr. Jin Zhang, Asian Marketing Manager and are the result of relationships with researchers and physicians that have been built over the past ten years.

The Chinese distribution agreement was signed with White Horse Medical; a well-established company involved in medical device distribution, operating room engineering and construction and shared revenue hospital investments. Headquartered in Guangzhou with six branch offices and two factories throughout China, White Horse Medical represents medical devices manufactured by Medtronic, AGFA and Roche and are in a manufacturing joint venture with the medical products division of Dupont. White Horse Medical is in active negotiations for the sale of the first CTF MEG System in China.

The Taiwanese distribution agreement is with Trident Medical Corp., representatives of twenty-eight medical capital equipment product lines, including CT, MRI, x-ray systems, patient monitors and sterilization systems. Trident Medical Corp. is based in Taipei with offices in two major cities and a medical products manufacturing facility in China. Trident will be displaying CTF MEG Systems at two Neurology Conferences in June.

Japanese representation is through a business relationship with CBC Company Ltd., which has applied for a Shonin (import) license to sell MEG devices to hospitals. The market for MEG in Japan is the largest per capita and continues to grow and the partnership with CBC ensures that CTF capitalize on those opportunities. CBC is actively involved in negotiations with a major institution for the purchase of a CTF MEG System.

CTF's proprietary leading edge technology for MEG (Magnetoencephalography), which gives precise information on the brain's function including touch, speech, vision, hearing and motor skills. This technology is used in pre-surgical assessment of tumors, epilepsy tissue and localization of trauma, cognitive and psychological disorders. Unlike other imaging technologies such as MRI and PET, CTF's Systems are completely non-invasive and passive.

VSM MedTech Ltd. specializes in the design and development of groundbreaking medical devices driven by clinical need. VSM's growing family of devices enhance patient outcomes through the accurate diagnosis and the improved measurement of human physiological conditions.
