LanVision Systems, Inc. Announces Three New Clients

CINCINNATI, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- LanVision Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: LANV - news), announced today that its remarketing partner, Siemens Medical Solutions Health Services Corporation, has signed three new clients for the NOVIUS® Imaging for Medical Records solution. The new clients are Pinnacle Health System, a four facility network located in Harrisburg, PA; 500-bed St. Vincent's Health System in Erie, PA and Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital in Portland, OR. Oregon Health Sciences is a very complex healthcare delivery system that includes the 390-bed OHSU hospital; a children's hospital; teaching facilities for medical, dental and nursing; eye care; dental; transplant facility; and various other clinics and research institutes.

LanVision and Siemens (then Shared Medical Systems Corporation) entered into a remarketing agreement in 1998, enabling Siemens to remarket LanVision's web browser-based application suite integrated with its NOVIUS Imaging System to provide a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record solution. The NOVIUS Imaging System provides the foundation for any health care entity to manage multimedia objects, including document and medical images, and provides solutions for the entire health care enterprise. The NOVIUS Imaging System can be integrated with external systems to receive data, automatically create folders, and present the multimedia objects in an integrated fashion with the user's primary application. Siemens currently serves approximately 150 total Imaging customers.

"We are very pleased to welcome these new clients," said Brain Patsy, President and Chief Executive Officer at LanVision. "LanVision offers highly evolved and technologically advanced Electronic Medical Record solutions that are successfully operating at an impressive list of customers. We believe our EMR will play a critical role in helping our clients comply with the final HIPAA regulations," Mr. Patsy added.
