- Question: My sister in-law's MRI revealed 5.8 cm x 4.8 cm x 4.17 cm mass lesion (in right temporal lobe) with solid and cystic components with evidence of intralesional bleed on 28 Oct 09. Doctors operated the same on 30 Oct and claimed that they have completely removed the tumor. She is fine and performing her daily chores with minimal support. Histo-pathology report on 9 Nov stated that she has GBM (tumor in sheets, cells are round to oval with marked cellular atypia, prominent mitotic activity, reactive gliosis and focal hemorrhages). She is right now on Dilatin, Deca-Durabolin and Ciprobid. Doctors have recommended radio/chemo therapy starting from 22 Dec 2009. Do you think 22 Dec is too late to start radio/chemo therapy?
