  • Question: Does Medicare cover brain tumor surgery and recovery?
  • Answer:06/12/2003
Standard Medicare covers most costs of brain tumor surgery, but there is a deductible that the patient has to pay. It goes up every year but was around $1,000 in 2007. They will cover some rehab costs. Suggest you call Medicare or look on their website. Coverage may vary if you have a Medicare Advantage plan.
