Can anyone explain this. When I use my right arm in a forceful way such as with a tool or shutting a door, my right eye twitches hard 2 to 3 times. It twitches bad like someone is pulling on it and my lips tingle too. I now have headaches and I have never had headaches this often. I wake up with them and they are isolated/ back of the neck/ behind my eyes. I also have moments of light-headedness and short term memory loss.
I recently had a shunt revision. They had to shave some of my hair. What are some things I can do to stop it from itching so much?
Does usage of mobile phones cause brain tumors or any kind of cancer and, if so, what are the damages, if any, to the brain on excessive mobile usage.
I recently had a CAT scan of my sinuses and they turned out great. However, they noticed that I have an asymmetrical temporal horn in the left ventrical of my brain. They said they could not see any edema or lesional masses but want an MRI with GODA done just to be 100% safe. The ENT even wrote on his pad, DX: Defect in lateral horn. My ENT said that it was probably nothing and something that I was born with. I am , however, riddled with anxiety. I have no idea what a horn is let alone what it does. I even called a nurse hotline and they did not know either. I tried Google but the medical jargon overwhelms me. I just want the questions answered in layman terms. 1. What is a lateral horn and what does it do? What defects could there be? 2. What is GODA? My MRI is on Monday and I know this is not as serious as some of your problems on here but I would greatly appreciate your answers.
I am a healthy young lady, 19 years old. I have been recently diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst on my brain and the size is 9 cm. I never experienced headaches until this year. I have been feeling lightheaded with blurry vision. I have an upcoming surgery in June and I want to know the pros and cons. The doctors told me that I probably had it since birth but I was a premature baby, with a twin. I got my medical records and it does not show that I had it before. I am concerned for my twin sister, Is it genetic?
What is the significance of a low platelet count, and what can we do to make it go back up? It came down because of a chemotherapy.
I am on Keppra, presently 1500 mg mornings and 1250 mg evenings, and Trileptal, 450 mg and 450 mg. I am trying to reduce the Trileptal by bringing up the Keppra. Does anyone know if it is possible to overdose on an anticonvulsant? My doctor said nom but I am having petite focals since this change.
I just had an MRI which came back showing a cyst on my pineal gland. I had the MRI due to severe and increasingly frequent and more severe migraines. There is a history of brain cancer in my family. Is this, a pineal cyst, something that is usually treated? If so, how is it treated?
I recently posted a question about vertigo and got no response. Maybe it did not get sent. Here it is again: I have had about 5 episodes of fairly severe vertigo in the past 5 years. It usually lasts about a day and then I am fine. Some people have mentioned that sometimes vertigo is caused by indigestion or other stomach problem. Is this true? Since it has happened a few times, all of the sudden, what could be the cause? I am not asking for a diagnosis of my problem, just general ideas of what it could be.
My GP will not send me for a CT scan so what do I do?
