Monteris AutoLITT - a new brain tumor treatment
The Monteris AutoLITT (focused Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy) is a new approach for treating brain tumors. It is a new device designed to allow a neurosurgeon to kill brain tumors with laser light and heat under MRI guidence. It is experimental (as of 11/2008), and is now in a clinicl trial for people with recurrent (or progressive) Glioblastoma Multiforme. Click HERE for details on the clinical trial.
