Prior Surgery is Allowed Prior Radiation is Allowed Prior Chemotherapy is Allowed Patients are eligible for this study if they have a
progressive plexiform neurofibroma which is not surgically
resectable and for which there is no standard treatment.
Patients without biopsy proof of plexiform neurofibroma
must have at least one other diagnostic criteria of NF1. |

Peg-Intron is given as a sub-Q injection once weekly.
This is a dose escalaltion study starting at 3.0ug/kg/week.
Each additional level will have a dose increase of
1.5 ug/kg/wk. 3-6 patients will be treated at each dose
level to assess the side-effects of the treatment.
The patient may be treated for up to 2 years as long as
there is no tumor progression or unacceptable side-effects. |
