Comments: |
 |
The combination of cytotoxic and antiangiogenic drugs may challenge tumor cells by two distinct but interdependent biological mechanisms. This trial uses two DNA damaging agents with differing mechanisms of action - Temozolomide (alkylator) and CPT-11 (topoisomerase I inhibitor) in combination with Thalidomide against recurrent gliomas. The non-overlapping toxicities of these agents and thalidomide can be expected to limit the toxicity of the combinations. |
