Question: My son-in-law had an Anaplastic Astrocytoma removed 18 months ago from his right posterior frontal lobe. Recently, he started experiencing slurred speech, vomiting and frequent grand mal seizures. Does this signal recurrence? If so, what else can we expect during his last stages?

No, this is one of only many possibilities. Necrosis, radiation effect, or a cyst causing increased pressure are only a few of the possibilities. He may benefit from being in experienced hands of a knowledgable neurooncologist.
