My husband was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (in the cerebellum), removed 4/04. They feel they were able to remove it all. He went through full cranial and spinal radiation, finishing one month ago. We have had so many conflicting answers on his what his treatment should be since this is most often a pediatric tumor and he is in his late 30's. He was on decadron and now is off. Radiation went well - no fatigue/loss of appetite during treatment. However, now he is extremely tired and he has no appetite. Is this normal? How long could this last? It has been one month and he just does not want to eat. Also, what is the life expectancy of someone who has this type of tumor when it is successfully removed?

My brother, age 43, was just diagnosed with Medulloblastoma and it is said to be a malignant tumor. Surgery is out of the question due to the high risk of death, paralysis, and major brain dysfunction. He just started on chemotherapy. The information he gave me is that his doctor gave him about 4-6 months. Can this be true? Is there anything else that can be done? Is it worth being sick (vomiting) all the time versus jus letting nature take its course? His major complaint is severe headachs which, in my opinion, probably will become worse in time. What else can we do and what can you suggest for us?
